In all of the bleach universe,Yoruichi is my favortate girl,I want to see more of her appearance.She was really predominant in the “first” part of Bleach, but now she’s suddenly gone. I guess, another “babe” replaced her place, which is Nelliel.It would be nice to see more of Yoruichi, she was really strong, as well.

Doraemon has been nominated as the first cartoon ambassador in Japan. Heard this news, I didn’n feel surprise at all. When I was a little kid, Doraemon was my favorate cartoon chracter in my mind. At that time, like all kids who like Doraemon, also I hope I could get the poket like Doraemon’s, then I could get anything I want.^-^ As soon as I got the manga books about Doraemon, I couldn’t put it down. I still remember the situation that I stealthily read that manga book in class for fear that be cought by my teacher:) Accompanied by Doraemon, I spent the happy childhood.

Doraemon not only brings happiness to children, but also to adults. Now I gruaduated from college and got a job, but the position of lovely Doraemon in my heart has never wavered. In order to fulfill the mission of cartoon ambassador that transcend the fashionable culture of Japan, Doraemon still have long way to go. I just wanna say, Doraemon, keep walking!

81diver Manga Dramatized in Live-Action TV Series

This year’s 17th issue (released on March 27) of Shueisha‘s Weekly Young Jump magazine has confirmed that Yokusaru Shibata‘s 81diver manga will be adapted into a live-action television drama series. The series will premiere on May 3 on Fuji TV and its affiliates. The manga was recommended by the 2007 Japan Media Arts Festival jury and nominated for the 12th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
The original manga focuses on a young man named Kentarō Sugata, a former professional player of a Japanese chess-like board game known as shogi. (The manga’s title comes from the 81 squares on a shogi board.) After leaving the pro circuit, Sugata enters the world of “Shinkenshi” (“true sword-masters”), or players who gamble on shogi and other board games like go and mah-jong. He meets his match in Soyo Nakashizu, a female Shinkenshi who happens to be a part-time maid in Akihabara.

Viz Licenses Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody

North American summer theatrical release, followed by winter DVD release

The North American distributor Viz Media has announced that it has licensed Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody, the first theatrical anime spinoff from the Bleach television series, in the Americas, Europe, and Oceania. The television series itself is an adaptation of Kubotite‘s Bleach manga about Soul Reapers (Shinigami or Gods of Death) who protect humans from the “Hollow” spirits that prey on them. Viz plans to release the film in theaters in major North American cities this summer and on DVD in the winter of 2008. Viz released Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, another movie based on a Shonen Jump manga franchise, in a similar fashion.

Like the Naruto movie, Memories of Nobody is an original story not seen in the earlier Bleach television series or manga. It ran in Japan in December of 2006, and a second movie, Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion – Mō Hitotsu no Hyōrinmaru, has since opened in Japan last December. Memories of Nobody centers around previously unseen “Blank” entities that also threaten mankind.

Details of Japanese Gundam 00 Blu-ray Release Posted

The official Japanese website for the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 robot anime television series has posted details on the upcoming Blu-Ray Disc release. Gundam 00 is the first Gundam series broadcasted in high definition. The first volume with two episodes and the second volume with four episodes will sell on August 22 for 5,040 yen (about US$50.00) and 7,350 yen (US$73.00), respectively. The remaining monthly, 7,350-yen volumes will have four episodes, except the last volume with three episodes. Every volume will have 1080p resolution, eight pages of liner notes, and a “Tactical Outlook” promotional video for the next volume. The first pressing of the final volume will have a deluxe box for the entire set.
